; Families!
\n
On Monday\, the Rankin family graciously hosted our Tr
oop again at their home with a fire to keep us warm during our last meetin
g of March\, a very freezing one surprisingly. The year is already flying
by and we are all very proud of every parent and scout who has adjusted to
our rotating meeting area schedule these past several weeks. Regarding a
permanent meeting location\, Troop 11 adult leadership has a meeting with
the City of Stamford tomorrow for approval on meeting at Fort Stamford\, a
n outdoor and indoor meeting space that has a rich history. We look forwar
d to hopefully be able to meet here very soon!
\n
Monday’s meeting wa
s run and organized by Life Scout Michael Schiffman\, who creatively came
up with a medical-kit creation adventure where patrols were engaged to cre
ate first aid kits while following a story about being stranded on an isla
nd in the middle of the ocean. Scouts shared the reasoning for choosing th
e items in their kits and repeated this as the story followed. Many scouts
were able to get two requirements signed off from this meeting while also
taking their own kit home\, so a huge thank you to Mike for coming up wit
h a shopping list and plan for this meeting.
\n
UPCOMING EVENTS:

\n
APRIL TRIP: Appalachian Trail Hike (More details soon!)
\n
MAY 1

as there is a very large range of activities to enjoy.
\n
While we h
